ROYAL INFIRMARY OF EDINBURGH

The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, also known as Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, is the oldest voluntary hospital in the UK. It was established in 1729 and new buildings were added in 1879 and 2003. It is also the site of medical teaching and serves many students from the University of Edinburgh.
