Top 10 Best Universities in Eastbourne

Higher Education Options for Eastbourne Residents

Eastbourne students have a genuine advantage when it comes to higher education. The town is well connected by rail to Brighton, London and beyond, putting a wide choice of respected universities within commuting or short travelling distance. For many local students, the ability to study while living at home, or to return easily at weekends, is a significant financial and personal benefit.

Eastbourne itself hosted a university campus for many years, known for sport, physical education and tourism courses. Although that provision has since moved, higher education continues to shape the local economy through graduate employment, research partnerships and university-level courses delivered through further education.

What to Consider When Choosing a University

Look at course content, teaching quality, graduate outcomes, student satisfaction, accommodation and location. Consider whether you prefer a campus or city environment, and whether commuting from Eastbourne is practical. Research scholarships and bursaries, and attend open days where possible.
